Chairperson and Parent representative

Kia ora. My name is Stephanie Hall and I am Chair & Parent representative on the Board of Trustees. I have two children – my son Mason-Khan attends St Patrick’s Primary School, and my daughter Aaliyah-Grace is at St Catherine’s College. I graduated with a Bachelor of Education (Teaching) in 1999 and since then have been teaching in early childhood settings throughout Wellington. I have taught in a kindergarten in Newtown since 2007. I am passionate about creating and providing positive learning environments and outcomes for children, their families, and teachers. I look forward to contributing to the school community through our collective work on the Board of Trustees.

Me mahi tahi tātou mo te orange o te katoa.

Tēnā koutou katoa.

I am truly blessed to be part of such a wonderfully diverse community. I love the work I do, the people I meet and the students who bring me joy each and every day. How blessed am I?

We have an incredible team here at St Patrick’s: staff, students, board, whānau, parish and the wider community. I believe we can make a positive difference for every learner in our school, and I strive to make this a reality. I consider myself as someone who is committed and open to ongoing learning and  opportunities. I love to talk with people, hear of new ideas and facilitate change that will help us to move forward. I consider myself a Wellingtonian now, but was born and grew up in Kirikiriroa.   My interests include: reading, music, outdoor activities, travel and spending time with my family and friends. I have been known to do the odd magic trick now and then.

 Staff representative

My name is Helen Barber and I am the staff representative for  St. Patrick’s Board. I am the teacher of the Year 7 and 8 class, as well as Deputy Principal. I bring over 12 years’ experience of teaching to this position, so I can support the Board with understanding the Curriculum requirements and nuts and bolts of running a school. I also work collaboratively alongside our staff, students and families, so I can be a voice for our community.

Hello  everyone. As of 1 Feb I have taken up a new appointment as Parish Priest of Holy Trinity Parish. This includes the three primary schools of St Patrick’s in Kilbirnie, Holy Cross in Miramar and St Anthony’s in Seatoun, and the two colleges of St Catherine’s and St Patrick’s in Kilbirnie. I am one of six children and grew up in Lyall Bay. I was educated at St Patrick’s Primary School in Kilbirnie, Holy Cross in Miramar and St Patrick’s College in Cambridge Terrace. My working background was in banking with the CBA as it was in Kilbirnie, now on the current site of the Westpac Bank in Onepu Road. I look forward to working alongside and building a continued relationship with the schools and parish together as  best I can.
